Our History

Center Grove Baptist began in 1922 when Rev. C.W. Howard conducted a revival in a grammar school located where the Education Building is now. Fifty-two people were baptized into a neighboring church as the result of the revival. Center Grove was then organized with thirty charter members. Soon after organizing, the first building was completed, and Rev. Clarence Swanson was called as pastor.
