We are a Bible-believing, Bible-teaching, Christ-honoring Church. God has placed us here to evangelize the sinner, equip the saint and above all else to exalt the Savior.
Sunday School: We would love for you to join us for Sunday School. We have classes for all ages (birth-60+). Classes start at 9:45 a.m. Nursery, Children's Classes, 30-49 and 40-49 ladies, younger and older couples' classes are all located in the education building. We have greeters at all main entrances that would be glad to help guide you to the right class. Age groups are approximate for Sunday School classes; however, everyone goes into the class of their choice.

The History of the church began in 1922 when Rev. C.W. Howard conducted a revival in a grammar school located where the Education Building is now. Fifty-two people were baptized into a neighboring Church as the result of the revival. The Church was then organized with thirty charter members. Soon after organizing, the first building was completed and Rev. Clarence Swanson was called as pastor. God continued to bless the Church and a pastorium was built but was later replaced by a brick home a short distance from the church, on Highway 95. It was later sold.
In 1955 the congregation became too large for the old sanctuary and plans were made for a new building, which was completed in 1956.
The Fellowship Hall, consisting of a kitchen, pastor’s study, church offices, and a stage to be used for plays and presentations were built in 1974. But even as the Fellowship Hall was completed, the church had to double their seating capacity. So, on July 4, 1976, the addition was dedicated to the Lord.
In 2001, the Church once again grew in the Lord. The Education Building was completed and provides Sunday School classes, Nurseries, Offices, and Kitchen. All this is made possible only by the miraculous work of the Lord Jesus Christ in the lives of our members, as we grow in Him. May God continue to work in us “...to will and to do of His good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:13)
During February 2009, remodeling was done in the church to update the vestibule, sanctuary and choir loft. The choir remodel was needed to make room for the recent addition of an orchestra. From the Original group in 1922, the Lord has added to His church those that have helped to make Center Grove a place of prayer, love, and concern for our fellow workers in Christ, as well as for our community. May our Lord continue to bless and reveal Himself through Center Grove Baptist Church. To the praise of His Glorious Grace, Amen
